The “DPR” leader admits that Russia has long been engaged in the purchase and resale of stolen coal

The leader of the "DPR" Alexander Zakharchenko admitted that Russia has long been engaged in the purchase and resale of thestolen coal from the occupied Donbass. He said this during his "official" visit to the occupied Crimea, - the separatist media report.

"Contracts for the supply of coal "to any regions of Russia and then to other countries had been in effect before and were not terminated", - they quote Zakharchenko.

Speaking about the volumes, he said that they are "tens of thousands of tons".

The militant did not specify how the coal, mined in the uncontrolled territory of Ukraine, entered Russia and how the relevant documents were drawn up. Russia has not officially recognized the "DPR", therefore under international law it has no right to trade with the occupied part of Ukraine. The authorities of the Russian Federation do not confirm the purchase of coal products from the territories of Donbass that are not controlled by Ukraine.
