Ukraine's SCM Group said on Thursday it would fight a demand by separatists to re-register their companies in the occupied areas. This is written in a statement on the website of SCM.

“SCM Group has always been working only within the laws of Ukraine, including our businesses in the NGCA. No pressure can make us change the jurisdiction of our assets", - the statement reads.

Since the conflict in Donbass broke out, SCM Group has paid over UAH 100 billion in taxes to the national budget, of which 10% are attributable to the businesses in the NGCA.

"We consider private property to be sovereign and the demand to re-register our businesses and pay taxes to the self-proclaimed “DPR” and “LPR” is unacceptable", - SCM Group said in the statement.

Occupying "authorities" introduced "external management" on the entities under Ukrainian jurisdiction from March 1.
