More than 70% of Ukrainians do not agree on the "special status" of Donbass for the sake of ending the war. This was said by the political analyst of the Democratic Initiative Fund named after Ilko Kucheriv Maria Zolkina at a press conference in Kyiv today, presenting the results of the research, - the correspondent of OstroV reports.

"Almost all of the compromises that were being discussed, were not supported by the Ukrainians", - she said.

More than 70% of Ukrainians do not support such a compromise as granting preferences in the form of "special status" of Donbass for the cessation of hostilities.

A compromise of the granting the non-aligned status of Ukraine for the cessation of hostilities is also not supported by most Ukrainians.

The research also found that unacceptable compromises for Ukrainians are the possibility of amnesty for separatists and the holding of elections in the uncontrolled territory of the Donbass.

"In general, Ukrainian society has no willingness to carry out the majority of the political ideas or compromises that are being discussed, but our society has no specific recipes how to deal with this issue as well", - M.Zolkina noted.
