The US president Donald Trump expects that the Russian Federation will engage in the de-escalation in Ukraine and will "return the Crimea". This was stated by the press secretary of the White House Sean Spicer, - RIA News Ukraine reports.

"President Trump made it clear that he expects that the Russian government will engage in the de-escalation of violence in Ukraine and will return the Crimea", - Spicer said at the briefing.

He confirmed that Trump also wants to "be able to get along with Russia as against to the previous administration".

"So that we can solve many problems that we are facing, including "the Islamic State", – the press secretary noted.
