Court allowed detaining the leader of the "DPR" Zakharchenko. All is left is to catch him

Kyiv Court of Appeal granted the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine with the purpose of attachment and incarceration of the leader of the "DPR" terrorist organization Alexander Zakharchenko. The relevant decision was made on February 8, 2017, - LIGA.net reports with reference to the press service of the court.

"Grant the permission for detention with the purpose of attachment A. Zakharchenko in order to be involved in the consideration of the application for remand in custody", - the statement said.

Also, the Court of Appeal discharged the order of the Kyiv Shevchenko District Court of December 14, 2016, according to which the Prosecutor of the General Prosecutor’s Office was denied a petition for the arrest of the leader of the terrorists.

The validity of the Court of Appeal’s order is six months from the date of its issuance.

Currently Zakharchenko has the status of a suspect in criminal proceedings under Part. 1, Art. 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (the founding of a terrorist group or a terrorist organization).
