Russia is ready to purchase electricity from Ukraine to supply annexed Crimea. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia Andrey Cherezov in the interview to Russia 24, - reports Interfax-Ukraine.

"We always say that we are ready to purchase electricity (from Ukraine - ed). There are no negative decisions that we don’t want to take your electricity (from Ukraine – ed.)," - said Cherezov.

In fact, it is about the supply at least until implementing the second phase of the energy bridge to Crimea scheduled for April-May 2016, after which the total power, excluding Ukrainian flows, will be 1,300 MW. So far only the first phase of the energy bridge has been launched.

As previously reported, one of the leaders of the Crimean Tatars, the representative of the President of Ukraine on the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev said that the peninsula has to appear only as a part of Ukraine in any agreements signed by Ukraine on Crimea annexed by Russia.
