Zhebrivskyi tells Poroshenko about the first signs of a ceasefire in Avdiivka area

The first signs of a partial cease-fire are observed in Avdiivka area. The head of the Donetsk military and civil administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi reported that to the President Petro Poroshenko, the press secretary of the head of state Svyatoslav Tsegolko wrote on his Facebook page.

It is noted that maintenance crews are prepared for immediate departure to repair electrical and gas systems in Avdiivka.

"After the President used all of the international pressure tools on Russia, we can observe the first signs of a ceasefire. According to the General Staff, peace and quiet order is maintained only on Yasinovatskiy direction, but the pro-Russian militants continue shelling in the area of Avdiivka industrial zone", - his statement says.

He noted that the main condition for the start of repairing works is to stop the shelling. The works will begin immediately after of the OSCE observers confirm the establishment of peace and quiet order (cessation of attacks by Russian militants).

As Pavlo Zhebrivskyi reported, central town hospital of Avdiivka has autonomy power supply and is operating normally. 11 warming centers have already been organized. Tents and field kitchens were also provided by the military. The citizens are provided with hot meals.
