The election results in Mariupol and Krasnoarmeysk will affect Ukraine for a long time. The head of Donetsk civil-military regional state administration  Pavel Zhebrivskyi stated that at his Facebook page.

“The thigs I was talking about just happened. If earlier administrative resource could solve all problems in Donbass, now only administrative and economic resource can do that. I fact, voting took place through enterprises”, -  states  Zhebrivskyi.

“Maybe I am going to say unpleasant words for Donetsk dwellers.  The saying “Nobody will put Donetsk  on knees” is too exaggerated . Most of the hard working people even didn’t stand up from knees. They are completely dependent on their employers, that’s the problem”, - considers Zhebrivskyi.

“The future of the region depends on demonopolization of the local economy. It’s desirable that the local heads were partners with state authorities, international organizations on restoring Donbass. Being  a leader in the community is an honour. But when a big business rules the city, it’s not the development, it’s called dependency”, - concludes Zhebrivskyi.

It’s worth reminding that one of the directors of Illich metal factories won the mayor elections in Mariupol. He is often called “Akhmetov’s man”. Ruslan Trebushkin, former mayor of nearby town Dimitrov, won the mayor elections in Krasnoarmeysk. Civil activists accuse Trebushkin of separatism.
