Special investigation against 5 prosecutors of the "LPR" was launched in the Luhansk oblast

Special investigation against 5 prosecutors occupying "senior positions" in the so-called "Office of the Prosecutor General of the "LPR" was launched in the Luhansk oblast. This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Luhansk oblast.

"The prosecutor's office of the oblast is carried out the procedural management of the criminal proceedings on the fact of involvement of Ukrainian citizens in activity of the so-called "Office of the Prosecutor General of the "LPR" on the grounds of a criminal offense under Part 1, Art. 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (involvement in the activity of terrorist organization)", - the statement said.

According to the Office, it is established that "5 prosecutors-traitors have come down to side of a terrorist organization "LPR", occupied senior positions in the "Office of the Prosecutor General of the "LPR" and carry out their activities in favor of the terrorists, violating the oath of the prosecutor of Ukraine".

It is noted that a special (in absentia) procedure of a pretrial investigation was launched due to the fact that the "prosecutors" of the so-called "Office of the Prosecutor General of the "LPR" are hiding from the investigation on the temporarily uncontrolled by the Ukrainian authorities territory on the principled position of the prosecutor's office of the oblast.

"The Prosecutor's Office of Luhansk oblast uses its best efforts to ensure the rapid, full and impartial investigation of these criminal proceedings", - the prosecutor's office also reports.

Reference: the sanction of Part 1, Art. 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is punishable by imprisonment for up to 15 years with confiscation of property or without it.
