The trial of Oleksandr Yefremov began in Luhansk region. He is charged with treason

Hearings on the case of the former head of the Party of Regions faction in the Verkhovna Rada of the 7th convocation Oleksandr Yefremov began in Starobelsk town of Luhansk region. The press secretary of the Prosecutor General Larysa Sargan tweeted this information.

"The Starobelsk District Court of Luhansk region started consideration of the Yefremov’s case", - she wrote.

As reported, Oleksandr Yefremov is suspected of committing crimes under Part 1 Art. 111 (high treason), Part 1 Art. 258-3 (organization and facilitation of a terrorist organization), Part 3 Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine), Part 3, Part 5, Art. 27, Art. 341 (seizure of the state building) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
