ATO headquarters called shellfire in occupied Makeyevka as militants’ bloody provocation

The shelling of residential areas in Makeyevka controlled by militants on Thursday night is provocation by occupiers in Donetsk direction. It is stated by the ATO headquarters press-center on Facebook.

It notes that on Thursday night militants began a massive shelling with heavy weapons at ATO forces positions between Avdeyevka and Yasinovataya.

"In order to conceal their aggressive actions, the occupants committed another war crime by shelling neighborhoods with artillery weapons in Makeyevka controlled by them," - claim the ATO headquarters.

According to the headquarters, the shelling was carried out from the enemy positions in Mineralnoye, Yakovlevka and Yasinovataya.

"This barbaric action was to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the eyes of the international community and the local population, to conceal violations of the Minsk agreements on the part of the enemy and intimidate civilians on the occupied territories," - believe the ATO headquarters.

Armed Forces of Ukraine unswervingly adhere to the Minsk agreements and do not use weapons against the civilian population, - said the statement.
