The Verkhovna Rada has divested two deputies, - reports the correspondent of OstroV.

Zlata Ognevich (Radical Party) and Nikolay Martynenko (Narodnyi Front) have lost their parliamentary seats.

Both of them wrote resignation statement of deputy powers on their own.

301 deputies voted for the decision to divest Z.Ognevich of her parliamentary seat.

It was harder to divest Nikolay Martynenko of his parliamentary powers. The head of parliament Vladimir Groisman voted on the issue two times, but the required number of votes was not reached.

Mykola Martynenko has urged deputies to respect his decision and vote "for".

On the third attempt 228 deputies voted to divest Martynenko of deputy powers.
