Polish General, former head of the Special Forces of Poland and ex-deputy head of the National Security Bureau Roman Polko does not exclude that Russia might send troops to the Baltic states in the coming months. He said that in an interview to Do Rzeczy magazine, reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to TVP.info.

"In general, I do not exclude that in the coming months Russian attacks under false pretenses.  What should we be afraid of? For example, Russian troops under the guise of protecting the interests of the Russian minority enter the territory of Lithuania or Estonia," - said Roman Polko.

According to the General, the threat for Poland is in the form of subversive actions that undermine the credibility of the country in the international arena. As a pretext, Moscow might use dismantling of monuments to Soviet soldiers in Poland.
