“270 of our people have returned home. Most of those released are soldiers who defended Ukraine in Mariupol. Defenders from the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Kyiv, Mykolaiv and Chernihiv directions are also returning. Many were unlawfully convicted in russia. Among those returning are five people who had been considered killed in the russian terrorist attack in Olenivka in July 2022”, - President Volodymyr Zelensky reported.
Zelensky referred to July 29, 2022, when the russians carried out a terrorist attack on the grounds of Penal Colony No. 120 in Olenivka. It was aimed at brutally killing the defenders of Mariupol, whom they had been holding captive for more than two months at that time.
