The team of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi has prepared, apparently, the first "war plan" of its kind. It has already been under consideration by the NSDC for several weeks, Ukrainska Pravda reports, citing two high-ranking sources,

The publication notes that this is precisely the document, the strategic vision whose absence commanders regularly complained about in conversations with Ukrainska Pravda. Like, “how can we move forward without understanding the ultimate goal? If we want to retake, for example, Mariupol, then when and what will we do to achieve this?”

"We need a major strategy for the next 30 years, so that we as commanders understand where we need to move", - one of the corps commanders emphasized in a conversation with Ukrainska Pravda.

This plan should provide answers to the questions of what exactly the Ukrainian army needs to do to preserve Ukraine and within what time frame. In addition to visionary matters, it also raises practical issues, such as the army's approach to defense. For example, “is it worth keeping soldiers on the front line who serve as "eyes" and "ears" while having virtually no opportunity to engage in combat?”
