All limited mobility and elderly residents are to be evacuated from the Donetsk oblast

As of today, 37,141 elderly people and 1,256 people with limited mobility remain in the region. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, during an appearance on the “United News” national telethon.

“We are working to evacuate all elderly people and residents with limited mobility who need evacuation to safer regions within the next month to month and a half”, - Filashkin noted.

According to him, evacuation efforts are becoming increasingly difficult due to constant russian shelling. Since Médecins Sans Frontières no longer travels to Sloviansk and Kramatorsk because of the deteriorating security situation, residents of frontline communities are being evacuated by the White Angels police units and the Phoenix units of the State Emergency Service.
