Kremlin says putin is ready to meet with Trump, but hints at a "waste of time"

Russian dictator putin is ready to hold a meeting with U.S. President Trump, but there are no specifics regarding possible dates for such an in-person contact. This was reported by the russian TASS.

"There are no specifics regarding any high-level meetings. If we are talking about a Russian-American meeting, the president is ready", - kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Presidents Putin and Trump always emphasize in their telephone conversations that, if necessary, they are ready to hold another meeting at some point in the future", - he said.

High-level negotiations on a settlement in Ukraine, including between russia and the United States, will be meaningless without preliminary preparation at the expert level: "Holding a summit before the work at the expert level has been completed is inappropriate — it will be a waste of time".
