Destroyed chemical industry enterprises in Donbass may be used for terrorist acts involving radioactive substances. It is stated by the speech of the Ukrainian delegation at the general debate of the Committee on Disarmament and International Security of the UN General Assembly on Friday, posted on the Foreign Ministry website.

"Ongoing Russian aggression left without proper control radioactive sources in some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Numerous objects of chemical industry have been destroyed as a result of Russian military aggression," - said the statement.

According to the report, the current situation is favourable for the "terrorist acts with the use of hazardous chemicals, microorganisms, and radioactive materials."

"It also gives a lot of reasons to think about the real and potential threats far beyond the region," - noted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
