“Mykhailo Fedorov IS NOT RESPONDING to the invitation from the Temporary Investigative Commission. The former defense minister is ignoring the commission’s invitation for Monday and is trying to pretend that he did not receive the invitation. Meanwhile, the commission members can see that Mr. Fedorov is not ignoring the endless interviews. That’s not how this works”, - Ukrainian MP Oleksii Honcharenko wrote on Telegram on August 28.

He emphasized that “disrespect for the Parliament of Ukraine will end painfully”.

Honcharenko also stated: “I would advise Mr. Fedorov to read the Law of Ukraine ‘On Temporary Investigative Commissions and Temporary Special Commissions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine’”.

The MP emphasized that if Fedorov fails to appear on Monday, the commission will exercise its right to initiate Fedorov’s compulsory appearance at the meeting — and “...law enforcement agencies will be forced to bring him in”. Honcharenko also urged him “not to let it come to that, but simply to comply with Ukrainian law”.
