Drones attacked the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez (PNOS) oil refinery, according to a number of Ukrainian monitoring channels and russian ones on August 21.

The ASTRA Telegram channel reports that the Ministry of Territorial Security of Perm Krai and the Ministry of Emergency Situations had previously sent out alerts about the threat of UAVs. At 6 a.m., the Federal Air Transport Agency reported that “temporary restrictions on the reception and departure of aircraft” had been introduced at Perm Airport (Bolshoye Savino).

Local authorities reported one person injured in Perm Krai and “damage at one industrial facility; there were no casualties at the facility”.

The PNOS refinery had previously been attacked by UAVs several times. On July 29, ASTRA’s OSINT expert confirmed that the “industrial enterprise” attacked that day, as the local governor described it, was the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez refinery. Before that, the refinery was attacked on May 7 and April 30.

The enterprise, part of the Lukoil group, processes more than 13 million tonnes of crude oil per year, producing a wide range of products, including high-quality gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, and lubricating oils.
