The Verkhovna Rada supported the appointment of a new Defense Minister

“The Verkhovna Rada supported the appointment of Yevhen Khmara as Ukraine’s Defense Minister”, - the Rada’s Telegram channel reported on August 19.

A total of 312 members of parliament voted for Khmara’s appointment.

President Zelensky noted: “I am grateful to the lawmakers for supporting Andrii Sybiha’s appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Yevhen Khmara’s appointment as Minister of Defense of Ukraine. The tasks for both ministers are absolutely clear: Ukraine needs more strength. And it will have it. Glory to Ukraine!”
