As of August 2026, russia has stockpiled around 6,200 Geran kamikaze drones of various versions. The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine told "Militarnyi" about this.
"Russia is stockpiling these drones to carry out massive combined strikes against Ukraine. At the same time, limited production capabilities prevent russian forces from constantly maintaining a high launch intensity. Russia is forced to accumulate a significant number of attack drones ahead of large-scale attacks", - the statement said.
As noted, the most massive strikes may involve 600–1,000 drones, while during stockpiling periods, russian forces usually launch around 150–200 drones in a single attack, with the maximum number reaching approximately 300 drones.
