The kremlin responded to Tokayev's proposal to freeze the war with Ukraine

Putin responded to Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's proposal to freeze the war in Ukraine, kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told russian media.

"He explained everything to him in detail about the ‘special military operation’", - Peskov said.

He added that "given Kyiv's position, a freeze as such is impossible".

"For us, the main condition is that we must achieve our goals," Peskov said.
