"Fourteen civilians were injured as a result of a bombing strike on a residential neighborhood in Sloviansk", - an OstroV correspondent reports.

According to the local administration, at least seven apartment buildings were damaged.

According to the Donetsk oblast police, at 3:30 p.m. on July 23, russian forces dropped guided aerial bombs near residential five-story apartment buildings. Residential areas were damaged, and the extent of the destruction is still being assessed.

"Among the residents of the damaged buildings are families from the Lyman community who have already been forced to relocate several times while fleeing russian aggression. One woman from the village of Terny survived a direct hit on her home, later lived in Lyman, and has now narrowly escaped death in Sloviansk. A piece of shrapnel pierced a painting and the wall above the couch where she was lying at the moment of the strike", - law enforcement officials said.

Another family with two children has been left homeless. "We heard the first explosion, started running out of the apartment, and then the second blast wave hit us", - the married couple said. Fortunately, they suffered only minor scratches. The mother was pinned by a door, but her husband managed to pull her free. "I survived by a miracle", - the older boy said. The family had been preparing for evacuation, which was scheduled to take place in a week.

It is noted that an investigative team, explosive ordnance specialists, police paramedics, patrol officers, all emergency services, and representatives of the military administration worked at the scene.
