Russia launched a second batch of Rassvet satellites, intended to become an equivalent of Starlink — "Flash"

Russia has launched a second batch of Rassvet satellites into orbit, which are intended to serve as an equivalent of the Starlink system. There are currently around 40 such satellites in orbit. This was reported on Telegram by Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, a freelance adviser to the President of Ukraine.

"It is worth noting that the satellites have not yet taken their positions in the orbital constellation, but they can do so quite quickly", - Flash noted.

According to him, for russia to begin using the Rassvet constellation for military purposes, it will need to place at least several hundred satellites into orbit.

"SpaceX currently has more than 15,000. OneWeb has 600–700. Amazon LEO has 400–500 (with plans to expand to 4,000)", - Beskrestnov added.
