Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on social media on July 8 that he had met with a bipartisan, bicameral U.S. congressional delegation, including Senators Jeanne Shaheen, Lindsey Graham, Dick Durbin, Chris Coons, Mike Rounds, and U.S. Representative Mike Turner.

"I am grateful for your support and attention to Ukraine. We had a very substantive discussion about the prospects for diplomacy and what is needed to make it work. I informed them about the shortage of interceptor missiles for Patriot systems and the russian strikes against our people. At this moment, deliveries under PURL and other air defense supplies are the top priority for our protection", - Zelensky said.

"We also discussed the sanctions bill against russia. It is very important that pressure on russia over this war continues, and this initiative can truly help bring peace. I am grateful to the senators and congressman for their words of respect for our soldiers and military operations, and for their assurances that assistance will continue. Thank you to the United States and to every caring American heart for your support", - the president emphasized.
