
As a result of the overnight russian attack on Kyiv, the death toll initially rose to seven. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine continued searching for people trapped under the rubble. This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko and Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko.
According to Klychko, rescuers evacuated 15 people from the building in the Podil district that suffered a partial collapse. Three women and six children were rescued from the upper floors.
The mayor noted that apartments on both sides of the building had been destroyed. The search and rescue operation is ongoing.
According to Tkachenko, there were already 24 injured people in the capital, while seven people had been killed. Two of the injured were hospitalized, Klitschko reported.

In the Podilskyi district, a 25-story residential building was struck, causing structural collapse from the 9th to the 5th floor. Seventeen people were evacuated to safety, while another 28 were rescued from the upper floors using an aerial ladder. The rescue operation is ongoing.
At other locations, firefighters responded to a roof fire and a blaze in an elevator shaft on a rooftop, a partial collapse of the roof of a 19-story residential building, cars burning in the courtyard of a residential building, and debris striking the area around the 16th floor of a 25-story residential building.
In addition, the search for victims continues in a 21-story residential building where structural collapse occurred from the 2nd to the 5th floor.
In the Darnytskyi district, debris fell onto the 4th floor of one 25-story residential building within a residential complex, while another building experienced apartment fires covering an area of 150 square meters. A fire was also reported at a nearby garage cooperative.
At another address, debris struck a 30-story residential building, causing a fire from the 23rd to the 25th floor.
In the Holosiivskyi district, according to preliminary information, a non-residential building caught fire as a result of the attack.
Rescuers and other emergency services continue working at all of the affected sites.
Later, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko reported that the death toll had risen to nine.
"At this time, nine deaths and 46 injuries have been confirmed as a result of the russian attack (including five injured children)", - Tkachenko said.
During the night of July 6, russian forces attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and attack drones. Destruction, fires, and falling debris were recorded in several districts of the city.
In addition, russia launched Kalibr cruise missiles and missiles from strategic aviation during the night.
