Putin's approval rating has begun falling at the fastest pace since the start of the war

The level of trust among russians in dictator vladimir putin fell by 3.4 percentage points over the course of a week, reaching 73.3%. This is according to the results of a survey conducted by the russian Public Opinion Research Center between June 22 and June 28.

According to the report, this is the fastest decline in putin's trust rating since at least the beginning of the war. Previously, the sharpest weekly drop in 2026 occurred at the beginning of April, when the president's trust rating fell by 1.8 percentage points.

Putin's performance as president was approved by 66.9% of survey participants, down 3.5 percentage points from the previous week. The last time the presidential approval rating declined this sharply was in August 2024. Meanwhile, 21.3% of respondents disapproved of putin's performance, compared with 19.7% the week before.
