"The death toll in Kyiv has risen to 17 people! Emergency rescue operations are continuing at the site of the russian strike. Information is being updated", - the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on social media at 11:52 a.m. on July 2.

As Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko reported at 11:54 a.m., a 10-year-old boy with severe injuries was hospitalized in the capital. He is undergoing surgery.

"The parents have not been found under the rubble. The child's grandfather is with him", - Klychko wrote.

"The death toll in Kyiv as a result of the russian attack had risen to 18 as of 12:40 p.m.", - the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office reported later.
