The enemy struck Kyiv yet again: 13 killed, more than 30 hospitalized (PHOTO)

"The death toll in the capital has already reached 10", - Kyiv mayor Vitalii Klychko reported at 6:56 a.m. on July 2.

Later, it was reported that the number of fatalities had risen to 13.

Earlier, Klychko said that 34 people had been injured. Of them, 32 were hospitalized by medical personnel, while two received treatment at the scene.

Klychko began reporting on the overnight strikes at 11:21 p.m. on July 1, noting that the Desnianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the capital were under attack.

At 5:45 a.m. on July 2, the State Emergency Service released the following summary of the consequences of the attack on Kyiv.

The Darnytskyi district: Partial destruction of five-story and nine-story residential buildings, the upper floors of a sixteen-story residential building, and private homes.

The Shevchenkivskyi district: A fire broke out on the shared roof of a seven-story residential building and a hotel. At other locations, a five-story residential building was destroyed, a fire engulfed a five-story residential building over an area of 300 square meters, and another fire broke out in a three-story non-residential building.

The Holosiivskyi district: A fire broke out on the technical floor of a sixteen-story residential building.

The Pecherskyi district: A nine-story residential building was destroyed, and a fire covering 200 square meters broke out on the first and second floors. Rescuers saved one person there.

The Obolonskyi district: A fire broke out at a warehouse facility. People brought an injured person to the nearest fire station, where rescuers provided first aid.

The Sviatoshynskyi district: Two private homes were damaged.

The Desnianskyi district: A nine-story residential building was damaged.

Ukraine's Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko wrote on Telegram at 8:04 a.m.:

"At this time, 11 deaths and more than 30 injuries have been confirmed in the capital. Unfortunately, the number of casualties will continue to rise. People are still seeking medical assistance".

According to the minister, more than 20 residential buildings across Kyiv were damaged as a result of the russian attack. Rescue workers continue to operate at 15 locations.
