Russian war correspondents and propagandist bloggers, who traditionally support the war against Ukraine, have begun publicly urging their fellow citizens to refrain from traveling to occupied Crimea. They warn about the risks of drone attacks, fuel shortages, and security problems on the peninsula. This is discussed in the article “Fuel collapse in Crimea: russian tourists cancel vacations on the peninsula”.
In particular, Dmitry Steshin, a special correspondent for the russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, questioned the advisability of holding a tourist season on the peninsula and said that the authorities should officially recommend that russians refrain from traveling to Crimea.
“Was there any official statement, recommendation, or request to fellow citizens not to rush to Crimea this summer?” - he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Even harsher comments came from the propagandist blogger Gorny, who accused the occupation authorities of concealing the real risks facing tourists.
“Crimean schizophrenia amid the fuel crisis is developing at full speed. They are starting to lure tourists by talking about the weather and the warm sea, but not about the risks of being hit by an enemy UAV or the lack of gasoline”, - he said.
According to the blogger, if russians are planning to travel to Crimea with children, they should understand all the potential threats. He also expressed confidence that there would be no полноценный tourist season on the peninsula this year.
“The tourist season has not begun and will not begin in full”, - Gorny wrote.
The worsening situation was also noted by the author of the popular Crimean YouTube channel “Captain Crimea”, - who declined to give his audience direct recommendations regarding vacations on the peninsula.
“I do not want to take responsibility and recommend either coming to Crimea or not coming. The situation is seriously deteriorating for many reasons. It is better not to take risks”, - he noted.
It should be recalled that in recent weeks, fuel supply problems have intensified in occupied Crimea.
