Restrictions on gasoline sales have been introduced in the Omsk, Irkutsk, Saratov, and Voronezh oblasts of the russian federation. This was reported by local social media and russian media on June 22.

According to the Omsk oblast governor Vitaly Khotsenko, fuel at gas stations will only be dispensed directly into vehicle tanks. No more than 40 liters of gasoline per vehicle and up to 80 liters of diesel in cities and up to 200 liters on highways will be sold.

“To avoid artificial panic at gas stations and speculation, a number of important decisions have been made”, - Khotsenko said.

In the Irkutsk oblast, restrictions on gasoline sales have been introduced at certain gas stations, while some stations have temporarily suspended service.

This was announced by oblast governor Igor Kobzev. According to him, the authorities’ main task now is to ensure fuel supplies for fire trucks, ambulances, public transportation, utility services, and agricultural machinery.

In the Saratov oblast, limits on gasoline sales to private individuals will be in effect from June 23 to June 30.

“It has been decided to introduce temporary limits on gasoline sales to private individuals from June 23 to June 30 — no more than 30 liters per vehicle. This forced measure is necessary to reduce unjustified panic and possible speculation in the fuel market”, - the oblast governor Roman Busargin said.

In the Voronezh oblast, beginning June 23, gas stations operated by the company Lukoil will sell a maximum of 30 liters of gasoline and 60 liters of diesel per tank within cities. On highways, the limits will be 60 liters of gasoline and 200 liters of diesel. This was reported by the regional government.

At the same time, the authorities claim that gas stations belonging to federal chains continue to maintain “sufficient reserves” of AI-95 and AI-92 gasoline, as well as diesel fuel.
