“Together with Andrii Sybiha, we updated our European foreign policy tasks for May–June. At the team level, we are conducting an active dialogue with the new government of Hungary, and there are prospects for a constructive reset of relations. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and other government officials are preparing for a format of bilateral consultations with Hungary. I am counting on results”, - Volodymyr Zelensky reported on social media on May 19.

“We also discussed with the minister cooperation with European institutions regarding the opening of clusters in the negotiation process on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union: Ukraine has taken the necessary steps, and it is important that there be a clear schedule for the processes. Andrii Sybiha also reported on communication with the Foreign Minister of Georgia. We seek normalization of relations and cooperation based on mutual respect and mutual strengthening, and we are ready to take steps toward each other”, - the President noted.

According to him, “specific tasks have been defined regarding negotiations on ending the russian war and possible European representation in this process — for now these tasks are non-public”.

“We expect Europe to be strong, and for our part we are doing everything so that pan-European positions and interests are taken into account just as much as Ukrainian ones”, - Zelensky emphasized.
