A multi-story residential building collapsed in Kyiv as a result of a russian airstrike: there are fatalities and more than 30 injured (PHOTO)

“In the Darnytskyi district, structures of a residential building collapsed. People may be trapped there. Rescuers are heading to the scene”, - wrote the mayor of the capital, Vitalii Klychko.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, reported that as of 06:40 a.m., one person was known to have been killed and 16 injured. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that 10 people had been rescued from under the rubble.

Rescuers continue clearing the debris, under which people may still be trapped.

Overall, according to medics, one person was killed and 19 residents of the city were injured as a result of the attack in Kyiv. Eight of them are hospitalized.

The State Emergency Service reported as of 7:30 a.m. that at least 31 injured people are known about, including one child.

In the Darnytskyi district, 27 people were rescued. Emergency rescue operations continue to search for people under the rubble at the site of the collapse of the multi-story residential building structures, as well as extinguishing five cars in the courtyard of a residential building at another address.

At present, efforts to eliminate the consequences of the shelling continue in the Obolonskyi, Darnytskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts.
