“Early Thursday morning, several unmanned aerial vehicles entered Latvian airspace from the direction of russia, and two of them crashed”, - DELFI writes, citing the country’s National Armed Forces.
It is noted that at around 3:30 a.m., several calls were received on the emergency number 112 regarding a possible fire at an oil depot in Rēzekne. It was later clarified that this concerned a branch of LLC “East-West Transit”. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters established that there was no open fire. The drone hit an empty oil tank; necessary measures were taken to cool it for safety purposes.

Another drone that crashed on Latvian territory was also reported; the exact crash location is being clarified.
