As a result of a strike on a kindergarten in Sumy, there are wounded and one dead (PHOTO)

“Police are working at the sites where UAVs hit in Sumy. …As a result of strikes by two UAVs, the kindergarten building was damaged, and a fire broke out at the scene. At the moment, it is known about two injured women; however, the aftermath of the attack is still being dealt with, and information is being clarified”, - the National Police of Ukraine reported on Telegram on May 6.

Police evacuated the wounded and handed them over to medics, and also helped other civilians leave the dangerous area. Investigative-operational police groups, explosives experts, rescuers, and other specialized services are working at the scene.

“At the site of the russian UAV strike in Sumy, the body of a woman was found. The deceased was a security guard of the preschool institution. At that time, there were no children in the facility”, - said the head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov.

The Sumy City Military Administration clarified that the injured are employees aged 52 and 53. One of the victims is in the hospital in moderate condition. The other underwent examination and received medical assistance in an inpatient facility.
