Zelensky: The russian side disrupted the ceasefire regime. We’ll decide on further actions in the evening

“After yesterday’s brutal strikes on our cities and settlements — Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kramatorsk, and others — the russian army continued active combat operations and terrorist shelling during this day as well. Russia’s choice is an obvious rejection of ceasefire and of preserving lives. Assault actions continue on all key sections of the front, and since the beginning of this day alone, the russian army has already carried out nearly 30 assault operations. More than 20 airstrikes using over 70 aerial bombs have been recorded just during this night and morning”, - President Zelensky reported on social media on May 6.

According to him, during the night the russian army also carried out strikes using drones of various types.

“In particular, our Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed almost ninety attack drones. There were also missile strikes. In total, as of 10 a.m., the russian army has committed 1,820 violations of the ceasefire regime — shelling, attempted assaults, airstrikes, and the use of drones”, - the President stated.

“I am grateful to our warriors for defending Ukrainian positions. Ukraine clearly stated that it would act symmetrically, taking into account russia’s persistent calls through media and social networks to observe silence during the moscow parade. For all normal people, it is obvious that a full-scale war and the daily killing of people is a bad time for public ‘celebrations’. Russia must end its war, which is ongoing now. Even with the internet shut down and communications blocked, it is absolutely clear to most russians that their leadership can come out of the bunker and choose peace. Our diplomatic proposals are with the russian side, and the only thing needed is russia’s willingness to move toward real peace”, - the President noted.

“As of today, we state that the russian side has disrupted the ceasefire regime. Based on the results of evening reports from our military and intelligence, we will determine our further actions. Glory to Ukraine!” - Zelensky stated.
