A train collided with a truck crane in the Lviv oblast; the train driver was killed

“Another tragedy at a railway crossing due to ignoring traffic rules. In the Lviv oblast, the driver of a truck crane drove onto the crossing despite prohibiting signals and collided with a train. Our train driver died at the scene”, - Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) reported on May 1.

According to reports, the assistant train driver is in the hospital with severe injuries.

The driver of the truck crane has also been hospitalized. Passengers were not injured.

“The deceased train driver was a veteran who returned from the front and resumed work. We ask all drivers: follow the rules at crossings. It’s a matter of life”, - Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized.
