
“The enemy struck residential neighborhoods and civilian facilities in different parts of the city. The greatest damage was recorded in the Prymorskyi district. Here, a high-rise building and a five-story residential building were damaged: large-scale fires broke out on the upper floors and the roof, which rescuers managed to localize”, - said the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, on the morning of April 30.
According to him, private houses and residential buildings in the central part of the city were also damaged.
“Social and commercial facilities were hit: a kindergarten building sustained significant destruction, a shopping center, a hotel, and administrative premises were damaged. At several parking lots, dozens of buses and passenger cars were destroyed or damaged”, - the head of the city reported.
In the Khadzhibei district, hits were recorded on infrastructure facilities, warehouse buildings, and a garage cooperative.
“Unfortunately, 16 people were injured. Among them is a 17-year-old boy. Two people are currently in intensive care in serious condition, doctors are fighting for their lives. One man has been hospitalized in the trauma department. The rest of the injured received the necessary assistance on site or were referred for outpatient treatment”, - Lysak reported.
A total of 68 units of equipment and more than 280 specialists from all emergency and municipal services of the city were involved in eliminating the consequences. Operational headquarters have been deployed on site, where residents of damaged buildings can receive assistance and consultations.
At 7:59 a.m., the National Police updated the data on the number of injured: “At least eighteen people sustained various injuries. The data on the number of injured is being clarified”.
At 9:19 a.m., the head of the Odesa Oblast Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, updated: “The number of people injured as a result of the night attack on Odesa has increased to 20. Among them are our citizens aged from 17 to 70”.
