Energy Ministry of Ukraine has developed a strategy of independence from supplies of coal from the ATO area

The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry has been developing a strategy to provide the Ukrainian energy independence from coal supplies from the ATO area for three months. It is stated by RBC-Ukrainestory called Peaceful Atom: Nuclear Energy to Replace ATO Coal."

"This document will be approved by the order of the Ministry. It will be agreed by Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman and profile Vice-Premier Vladimir Kistion till the end of September," - said a source in the Ministry of Energy.

The Ministry refused to comment on these initiatives officially, but the edition got to know some details of the upcoming initiative. In particular, the document provides three key areas in which the industry will work: an increase in the share of nuclear energy, making anthracite coal in the list of critical imports and increase in the volume of TGUs running on coal gas.

Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Igor Nasalik said earlier that Ukraine could do without coal from the ATO area.
