“More and more residents from other regions are paying attention to the territory of Donbas”, - admitted the fact of a change in the demographic composition of the occupied part of the Donetsk oblast the “head of the DNR” Denis Pushilin in an interview with russian media.

Commenting on the issue of surging demand for housing in the region and interest in the local real estate market from residents of russia, the leader of the “republic” recalled that he believes the “DNR” is “the south of our country, which is receiving attention from the federal center”.

According to him, russians realize that there are “a lot of prospects” here, and therefore are actively investing in residential real estate. Therefore, he sees no problem in the fact that housing in the “DNR” is mainly bought not by local residents, but by citizens who arrived from russia.

Mortgages in the annexed regions of Ukraine are designed for incoming russians who want to settle in the “new territories”. Ukrainians who remained in the occupied territory can also take out loans to purchase housing. But even at a preferential rate (2% per annum), they will not be able to buy housing at the prices offered by developers. The cost per square meter exceeds 100,000 rubles (1330 USD). In some residential complexes, the price per square meter reaches up to 200,000 rubles (2660 USD).
