As russian troops “liberate” Donbas, more and more people are losing their homes: temporary accommodation centers are overcrowded

“Residents of frontline settlements of the ‘DNR’, evacuated as a result of hostilities, are living in temporary accommodation centers on the territory of the ‘LNR’”, - the so-called “human rights commissioner in the LNR”, Anna Soroka, told local journalists.

According to her, the number of residents in temporary accommodation centers cannot decrease. “This is due to the fact that our army is advancing in the Krasnyi Lyman direction”, - she admitted, adding that the “liberation” of certain settlements forces their residents to leave their homes, often destroyed. “Whenever possible, people are evacuated, and Donetsk is asking for help because all their temporary accommodation centers are overcrowded”, - the Luhansk “human rights commissioner” noted.

As reported, the authorities of the “DNR” are abandoning residents evacuated from the occupation zone in temporary accommodation centers to fend for themselves.
