Russia uses Belarus for transit of Shahed UAVs — Ihnat

“The enemy uses the territory of Moldova, the unrecognized Transnistria, Romania, and Belarus for flights — this is already a fact, and it remains a fact. We have repeatedly reported that russian drones do not even pass through the territory of Ukraine, bypassing potential zones where their drones could be hit”, - said the head of the Communications Department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yurii Ihnat, reports RBC-Ukraine.

He also noted that in Belarus there may be certain towers, relay transmitters that can help the enemy control their assets.

“We have often seen drones flying one after another into our western regions right along the border with Belarus. In order to make them more resistant to electronic warfare suppression, so that more of them get through, the enemy likely uses the assistance of a neighboring state so that the drones can reach their targets unhindered”, - added the head of the Communications Department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ihnat also added that he does not have information about which specific control points are located in Belarus, but noted that Ukrainian intelligence likely knows more.
