“During a joint operation by the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Leningrad oblast on the night of March 25, a vessel of the russian occupiers was hit at the Vyborg Shipyard. According to preliminary information, it is the patrol icebreaker ‘Purga’ of project 23550, which was planned for operations within the Border Service of the FSB of the russian federation”, - the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on March 25.
It is noted that such vessels perform tasks both as icebreakers and as warships.
