Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia downtown: 5 injured, including a child (PHOTO)

"Rescuers eliminated the consequences of the shelling in Zaporizhzhia. At night, russia’s troops carried out strikes with unmanned aerial vehicles on the city. As a result of the attack, five people were injured, including one child", - the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on February 24.

A fire covering an area of 200 square meters was extinguished. Nearby residential buildings and parked cars were damaged. Units of the State Emergency Service completed work to eliminate the consequences of the shelling. All emergency services of the city were working at the scenes.

"On the night of February 24, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones. Explosions were heard in the city one after another. Apartment buildings were destroyed, cars were damaged, people were injured and in shock", - the website’s journalists wrote from the scene.

They note that the enemy had been attacking Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding area since the evening. Monitoring channels reported launches of guided aerial bombs, strike drones from the temporarily occupied territory of the region toward the city. The sounds of explosions were heard in different districts of the city.

Around midnight, information appeared about injured civilians. russians struck the center of Zaporizhzhia. According to the State Emergency Service, from 23:10 to 23:45, the enemy carried out drone strikes. The Oblast Military Administration added that at least eight strikes were carried out.
