Hungary blocked the 20th package of sanctions against russia because of the shut-down Druzhba oil pipeline

"Hungary will block the twentieth package of EU sanctions against russia. This was stated on Sunday by the country’s foreign minister Péter Szijjártó. Budapest demands that Ukraine restore oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline, supplies through which have been interrupted since January 27", - the Telegram channel “The Moscow Times” reported on February 23, citing Reuters.

"Until Ukraine restores oil transit to Hungary and Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline, we will not allow the approval of important decisions for Kyiv", - Szijjártó wrote on social network X.

Kyiv states that the pipeline was damaged by a strike from a russian drone, while Budapest and Bratislava place responsibility for the prolonged disruption on the Ukrainian side, the report notes.
