The EU Council decided to extend the sanctions against individuals and companies involved in the violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine for another six months. It is reported by 112.uawith reference to the press service of the EU Council.
The decision concerns 146 individuals and 37 legal entities and includes an asset freeze and travel ban. Sanctions are extended until March 15th, 2017. It will be published on September 16th.
The EU imposed sanctions on Russia for the first time in March 2014 due to the annexation of the Crimea.
