Not Trump… The Nobel Peace Prize for 2025 was awarded to the leader of the Venezuelan opposition

“María Corina Machado is honored for her tireless work in promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle aimed at achieving a fair and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy”, - the Nobel Committee’s statement reads.

Earlier, the president of the United States called himself the most deserving candidate for the Peace Prize because he “stopped seven wars”. If someone else receives the prize, “it will be a great insult to our country”, he declared.
