Donetsk OSA on the explosion of the main ammonia pipeline "Tolyatti - Odesa": "There is no threat to human life"

"In the Donetsk oblast, a linear section of the main ammonia pipeline 'Tolyatti - Odesa' was damaged between Rusyn Yar and Yablonivka of the Ilinivka community. The most important thing: there is no threat to human life. The transportation of ammonia through this section has been stopped since 2014. White smoke is observed — this may indicate a leak of residual ammonia, which will continue until the excess pressure drops; this may take several days", - the Donetsk Oblast State Administration reported on the evening of October 9.

"Inspecting the site of the shelling is impossible, as it is a temporarily occupied territory. The wind is southeast, up to 5 m/s; the cloud is moving in the direction of Druzhkivka, a smell is possible. There are no reasons for excessive concern. In case of a noticeable smell, it is enough to close the windows and limit time outdoors — this is a preventive measure. Official services will provide updates if the situation changes", - the statement said.
