The 27 member states of the European Union have agreed to implement the 18th package of anti-russian sanctions. This has already been officially confirmed by the bloc’s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, after being first reported by diplomatic sources to the dpa agency, writes “LB.ua”

Kallas called the new package one of the strongest ever adopted. The sanctions concern, in particular, the shadow fleet that helps russians boost their military budget.

“We are further cutting the kremlin’s military budget, targeting another 105 shadow fleet vessels, their suppliers, and restricting russian banks’ access to financing”, - she said.

In addition, a flag registry will be launched to monitor vessels.
